What is YSR Kalyanamasthu Scheme

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has given credibility to the election manifesto in the country’s politics. In the previous TDP regime, there was a public platform but it did not materialize. The previous government included marriage schemes but did not include them, but the current government is working on all the elements of the manifesto. The state government has launched the Kalyanamastu scheme in 2023. Under the rule of YS Jagan, the welfare of all sections of the society was increased along with the financial assistance.

The program has been launched by the AP administration and will be implemented from October 1, 2022. This financial assistance is especially useful for inter-caste marriage problems. The beneficiaries of this Act include Christians, Muslims, Sikhs, Parsis, Buddhists and other minorities.

Everyone in the family wants their children to get married beautifully and respectfully. As marriage is a very important and memorable stage in a person’s life, due to their financial situation, their family may not be able to fulfill their social commitments. Before taking over the administration, the communities had previously committed to support the minorities. Hence, the state administration, after coming to power, followed through on its pledge by launching this campaign specifically for the welfare of the minority communities.

The state government provides financial assistance to SC, ST, BC, disabled and non-Muslim minority communities through “YSR Kalyanamastu” program and Muslims get help through “YSR Shaadi Tofa” program. The YSR Congress-controlled government took the move to help low-income families find respectable husbands for their daughters.
