What is Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Yojana 2023

Ministry of HRD launched the second edition of Yunanth Bharat Abhiyan on 25 April 2018. Under this scheme, 750 students from higher education institutions across the country will adopt villages. College and university students will also be covered under this scheme. A total of 748 institutions are working under this scheme. Out of these 143 institutions participate in Phase-I and 605 institutions employ 313 technical institutions and 292 non-technical institutions. The Ministry of Human Resource Development has directed all the higher educational institutions run by the Central and State Governments and all the institutions under the Updhana Bharat Abhiyan to take the backward gram panchayats and villages into their awareness and use their knowledge and expertise to overcome them. Unant Bharat Abhiyan project is launched by Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi for rural development. Indian Institute of Technology Delhi has been working in the field of rural development for a long time. A national workshop was organized at IIT Delhi in September 2014. On November 20, 2020, the Union Education Minister convened a meeting to review the progress of the Unant Bharat Abhiyan through video conferencing. It was said in the meeting that 4650 village survey data and 475702 household level survey data are available on the Unant Bharat Abhiyan portal.
