What is Savitribai Phule Kishori Samridhi Yojana 2023?
The Jharkhand government has launched the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samridhi Yojana to connect girls in its state with education. Under this scheme, financial assistance of ₹ 2500 will be provided to beneficiary girls studying in classes 8 and 9 and ₹ 5000 to those studying in classes 10, 11, and 12. Besides, a grant of ₹ 20000 will also be given to the beneficiary girls after completing 18 years. Girls can use the lump sum grant for their higher education or marriage.
Through this scheme, 27 lakh girls and 10 lakh Antodaya card holders from the state’s SECC-2011 census will be benefited. This means that girls belonging to 37 lakh families will be able to benefit from this scheme. By benefiting under Savitribai Phule Kishori Samridhi Yojana 2023, girls will be able to continue their education. It bans child marriage and promotes the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign.

Providing a birth certificate is not mandatory for availing benefits of the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samridhi Yojana.
The Cabinet meeting of Chief Minister Hemant Sarkar was held on Thursday. In this meeting, the Hemant government made a key decision regarding the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samridhi Yojana. It was decided in the meeting that birth certificates will no longer be mandatory for female children to apply for Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana. Earlier, under this scheme, it was mandatory to attach a copy of the Orphan Girl Certificate along with the Child Welfare Committee application form. But now the government has decided to remove this provision. So the benefit of this scheme is extended to the maximum number of girls. In addition, this decision was also taken. The beneficiary will not get the benefits of this scheme if he gets married before he is eligible for marriage. After the death of the girl’s parents, only the documents of the girl’s parents or guardians are valid.
Savitribai Phule Kishori Samridhi Yojana 2023 Important Info to Apply
To apply under the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana, girls should go to their nearest Anganwadi center and get the application form from the Anganwadi manager. Because the application process under this scheme will be kept offline.
