What is Jharkhand Abua Awas Yojana 2023?

Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Hemant Soren announced the launch of Abua Awas Yojana on 15 August 2023 by hoisting the tricolor. Through this scheme, three-room permanent houses will be provided to the poor families of the state. The benefit of this scheme will be provided to all the families in the state who are unable to avail of the benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Families deprived of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana benefits will be brought under Abua Awas Yojana. To provide benefits of this scheme to poor and needy families, the Government of Jharkhand provides permanent housing to people of all income castes without any discrimination. Through this scheme, three-room houses will be prepared and given to poor families. Due to this, poor families will not have to suffer financially to build permanent houses.

Jharkhand Abua Awas Yojana Objectives

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said the objective of launching the Abua Awas scheme was to provide permanent housing to such poor families in the state. Those who do not have a permanent house to live in or cannot build a permanent house due to poverty, such people cannot get a permanent house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. All of them will be allotted a permanent house with three rooms. Thus Jharkhand can be made a strong state and every poor citizen can overcome the lack of housing, food, and clothing.

For the plan of Abua awas yojana, Chief Minister Hemant Soren will extend the benefits of this scheme to all the poor and lower-class families of the state. For this, the Jharkhand government has allocated a budget of Rs.15,000 crore for the management of this project. That is, the government has sanctioned an amount of Rs.15,000 for this project. Eligible beneficiaries can be given a three-room house. The project will be completed in the next 2 years. Permanent houses will be provided to all poor families as soon as possible.
