Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana has been started by the Chief Minister of Rajasthan for the pregnant women of Rajasthan state. This scheme has been started on the 103rd birth anniversary of Mrs. Indira Gandhi. That’s why the scheme is named after Indira Gandhi. The government has said that under the scheme, financial assistance of ₹ 6000 will be provided to the pregnant women of Rajasthan state in about 5 phases. At present, this scheme is being started by the government in only a few districts and gradually the scheme will be expanded to all the districts of Rajasthan.

Every year many women in Rajasthan become pregnant and give birth to a child, but due to poor economic condition, they are not able to provide proper nutrition to their child initially, due to which children become malnourished in childhood. . That’s why the government has started the Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana, so that the money received under the scheme can be used by mothers for the best upbringing of their children and with that money they can get nutritious food for the children, so that the children can be healthy. And the rate of child malnutrition also decreased in the state of Rajasthan.

Indira Gandhi Matritve Poshan Yojana Rajathan Installments

The first installment under the scheme will be ₹ 1000 on pregnancy test and registration.
The second installment of ₹ 1000 will be given after the first pregnancy test.
The third installment will be given on institutional pregnancy of ₹ 1000.
The fourth installment of ₹ 2000 will be given after 105 days of the child’s birth, after getting all the regular vaccines and registration of the child’s birth.
₹ 1000 will be given as the fifth installment under the scheme, when family planning means are adopted within 3 months of the birth of the child.

Initially, about 77000 pregnant women have been included under this scheme and the budget of 43 crores has been passed by the government for the scheme.
Initially this scheme has been started by the government in districts like Udaipur, Dungarpur, Banswara and Pratapgarh of Rajasthan.
Under the scheme, a total of ₹ 6000 will be given to pregnant women directly in their bank account in five different installments by the government.
