What is Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana 2023?

The government is providing an opportunity to citizens of Delhi who cannot afford to go on pilgrimage with their own money. The offline registration process is not available for Muhyamantri Tirtha Yatra Yojana Delhi, you can register yourself online mode at the Delhi e-District web portal. Under this scheme, all expenses of travel, food, accommodation, etc. will be borne by the government. Under this scheme, the government provides all the facilities free of charge.

Elderly Yatra has resumed in Delhi

The Delhi Mukhyamantri Pilgrimage Scheme has resumed. Delhi government has restarted this scheme which was closed for the last six months. This evening, a Dwarkadhish-bound train will depart from Safdarjung Railway Station with 600 elderly people under the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme. Let us inform you that this train is the 72nd train under this scheme. Goes with old people. All the expenses covered under the Pilgrimage Scheme will be borne by the Delhi Government. The Kejriwal government had stopped the scheme before the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections last year. The Delhi government’s contention is that travel has been hampered because the Union Ministry of Railways has not provided the train. Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal said that now they have got the train and again they are starting the pilgrimage scheme for the elderly.

Facilities available during the journey

This journey includes an air-conditioned train, accommodation, food, boarding, lodging, and other arrangements for people. Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana Eigibility

  • The applicant should be a permanent resident of Delhi.
  • The age should be 60 years or above to avail of benefits under the Tirth Yatra Yojana. Every senior citizen can be accompanied by one attendant aged 18 years or above on the pilgrimage.
  • Government officials and employees cannot participate in this scheme. A senior citizen can avail the benefits of the Tirth Yatra Yojana only once in his life.
  • The annual income of senior citizens should be less than Rs.3 lakh. Persons aged 71 years or above are also eligible to take an attendant till the age of 21 years. All trains are air-conditioned.
