What is Assam Khel Maharan 2023
Chief Minister of Assam Shri Himanta Biswa Sharma and the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs Assam inaugurated Khel Maharan. Ascension 2023 will be held in the state from November 1, 2023, to January 10, 2024, the government said. Assam Khel Maharan 2023 is being organized by the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare and more than 5 million athletes will participate in the event this year. It is decided to organize Khel Maharan for Bodoland regional cause at Gram Panchayat, ULB and Ward levels as well as Gram Parishad Divisional Committee and MAC levels. Five different sports are played in Assamese Deran namely Kabaddi, Athletics, Football, Volleyball and Kho Kho.
